Schedule of events

2:00 p.m.: Call together/welcome by Eileen Kage, Taiko drummer, followed by introductions.
2:10 p.m.: Address by Acting Mayor, Councillor Elizabeth Ball.
2:15 p.m.: Remarks by John Restakis, author and Executive Director of the BC Co-operative Association.
2:25 p.m.: Dance performance by Barbara Bourget and Jay Hirabayashi of Kokoro Dance.

Intermission: Refreshments and tours of the building, including exhibition of work by resident artists.

3:10 p.m.: Message from Libby Davies, Member of Parliament for Vancouver East.
3:15 p.m.: Address by the Hon. Dr. Margaret MacDiarmid, Minister of Labour, Citizens' Services and Open Government and MLA for Vancouver-Fairview.
3:25 p.m.: Musical performance by 12 Midnite.

Intermission: Refreshments and tours of the building, including exhibition of work by resident artists.

4:10 p.m.: Tribute to the memory of Shirley Schmid by co-op member Suzann Zimmering.
4:15 p.m.: Remarks by Catherine Porter, President, Co-op Housing Federation of BC.
4:20 p.m.: Remarks by Marta Farevaag, Chair, Vancouver Heritage Foundation.
4:25 p.m.: Closing remarks.
4:30 p.m.: Dance performance by Kaia Duggan.

We regret that our building has not been retrofitted to make it fully accessible for people with mobility challenges. This means that the exhibition on the third floor is not accessible to everyone. We apologize.
