Rooftops Canada

For many years, we have supported Rooftops Canada, the international development program of co-operative and social housing organizations in Canada. Rooftops Canada works with partner organizations to improve housing conditions, build sustainable communities and develop a shared vision of equitable global development. Rooftops Canada's focus is on disadvantaged communities in Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Caribbean and Eastern Europe.

The YES leadership program

The co-op has sponsored many of its young people to take part in the YES leadership program. The YES is run jointly by the BC Co-operative Association and the Rainbow Youth Excellence Society (RYES), a charitable, non-partisan organization that provides exceptional leadership training to British Columbia's youth through the support of the province's co-operative and credit union movement.

modo. the car co-op

Now 15 years old, Modo is the first English-speaking carsharing organization in the world. One of Quebec Manor's members was a founding member of Modo, and several other Quebec Manor residents are members. For many years a Modo car was parked at our doorstep. Now the closest Modo cars are in the refined surroundings of the new Mount Pleasant Community Centre garage, and outside View Court, our neighbour co-op at Ontario and 10th.
